Zonta Club of South Auckland Inc

We are an energised, enthusiastic, compassionate, engaged and friendly group of Zontians dedicated to serving women both locally and worldwide

The membership of Zonta represents a diversity of women from varied backgrounds, with skills and experience in business and services, private and public.  Members come from all walks of life and live in all parts of the world.
What do we do?
In the Zonta Club of South Auckland we:
  • ·         Hold club meetings and dinner meetings once a month.
  • ·         Organise projects and activities to promote the Zonta objectives and goals.
  • ·         Fundraise to support Local, District (NZ) and International projects.

Why join Zonta?

The benefits of joining Zonta include:

·         Hands on service opportunities

·         The opportunity to advocate on issues affecting the status of women at a local, national and international level

·         The opportunity to meet people you may not normally meet, sharing meals, listening to speakers and the time to talk and get to know others

·         In addition, members build strong personal and professional relationships through networking and being involved in committee work.

Women join Zonta because they want to contribute their time and talents to the ideals of Zonta.  In joining Zonta you will bring your skills, experience and business acumen to an international organisation with a strong philosophy of promoting the status of women and provision of service in your community.

There are also opportunities to attend conferences – national and International, and Zonta forum.

Because Zonta is an active service organisation, membership means a time commitment.  As a member you are expected to attend club meetings, to serve on at least one committee, to take part in service projects and to participate in club activities.  Our Zonta club members enjoy these commitments and often lifelong friendships are formed with other members.

How do I join Zonta?

Zonta values the skills and business acumen that women can contribute to the enhancement of the status of women.

Membership information evenings are held regularly where members share their knowledge and experiences of Zonta and are able to answer questions people may have. These nights are an informal introduction to Zonta and if you would like to attend one please phone or email Jan Wymer This email address is being protected from spambots. • ·         To work for the advancement of understanding goodwill and peace through world fellowship of professional business women
  • ·         To promote justice and universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms
